NFL Divisional Round Under the Radar Playoff Plays for Daily Fantasy
We are going to go really deep for these picks in terms of under the radar. Why? Well, it’s the playoffs, and there are limited options. These selections are incredibly GPP. My colleagues Max and Danny have done an excellent job breaking down the NFL for this weekend, and I am here to give you that GPP play you should include in a lineup.
(all salaries via FanDuel)
Tom Brady $9,100 – I know Brady isn’t really under the radar considering his resume, but I don’t see a ton of love from him in general in the Twitter world this week. Well, the Ravens have one of the best rush defenses and worst pass defenses in the NFL. Throw on top the Patriots RB situation and that they are favored by a TD, 300+ yards and 2 TDs for sure.
Shane Vereen $5,200 – This is as GPP as you can get. Unless it’s on the 1-yard line specifically, can’t you see Vereen catching short-yard TDs and finishing with 7 catches for 60 yards to boot? Vereen is super cheep and should be involved heavily in the passing game.
Jerricho Cotchery $5,100 – Philly Brown is questionable and Kelvin Benjamin is still having serious drop issues. Cotchery is grabbing around 5 balls a game, but his TDs are down. Considering the Panthers will be very likely trailing for most the game and if Brown doesn’t play, Cotchery could get 5 catches for 60 yards and a TD, which would be awesome in a GPP.
Owen Daniels $5,100 – Amazing how good Daniels still is when he gets the ball, right? The Patriots are bad against TEs and the Ravens should be playing from behind. Daniels for 5 catches 50 yards and a TD is certainly within reach.
Steven Hauschka $4,700 – The most expensive kicker is $4,800 on FanDuel, so that throws out people trying to save money on kicker unless they go Justin Tucker. But as we have proven throughout the season, big favorites are the best when they are protecting the lead. Every game is outdoors in somewhat nasty weather and the Seahawks are the biggest favorites at -11.
Denver Broncos $4,900 – Obviously a ton of people are going to go with the Seahawks and possibly Patriots. The Broncos DST has hit double digits in four of the last five weeks and would have been five for five but missed it by one point, despite an atrocious game from Manning vs the Bengals. This DST is very capable of sacks and INTs for TDs.View all posts by Nick Juskewycz
