MLB Daily Fantasy Algorithmic Picks for July 6th on FanDuel
- OF – Andre Ethier
Ethier is part of a Dodgers line up projected to score 4.9 runs at home tonight. I’m amazed that it isn’t higher against Sean O’Sullivan. Either way, Ethier has been much better against righties for his career and he’s been hot recently.
- SS – Starlin Castro
Castro is one of the cheapest middle of the order short stops you can buy. Yes, he is facing Lackey for a RvsR match up but he doesn’t have bad splits and definitely has plenty of upside. The wind is blowing out in Wrigley and the Cubs are projected to score 4.5 runs.
- 3B – Miguel Sano
Sano has been fantastic since his call up for the Twins. At home with a RvsL match up against a pitcher without overpowering stuff Sano should have plenty of upside. He’s also minimum price which seems absurd for someone hitting .400 since joining the MLB roster.
- 1B – Logan Morrison
Morrison is slumping a bit of late but faces a pitcher in Alfredo Simon who has gotten blown up in three straight starts. The Mariners are projected to score 4 runs at home against Detroit. Morrison will have a LvsR match up.
- OF – Joc Pederson
Pederson will be heavily involved against the horrible Sean O’Sullivan. The Dodgers are projected at 4.9 runs and Pederson’s home run upside makes him a chalk play.
- C – Yasmani Grandal
Grandal is better from the left side and joins Ethier and Pederson as a lefty with pop against Sean O’Sullivan.
- 1B – Anthony Rizzo
Rizzo has been a bit better against right handed pitching. The Cubs are projected to score 4.5 runs at home with the wind blowing out. Rizzo has a ton of upside against John Lackey with a LvsR match up.
- OF – Yasiel Puig
Puig hits righties very well and gets a terrible one tonight at home. See all the other Dodgers on this list? The Dodgers should beat up the Phillies tonight and Puig will be part of that.
Under the Radar Player
- OF – Gerardo Parra
Parra has been on fire and has recently experienced a bit of a power surge. Facing an inconsistent Matt Wisler shouldn’t slow down Parra at all. He will get a LvsR match up against a young pitcher who could also neglect to hold runners well.View all posts by Donnie Chell
