MLB Daily Fantasy Algorithmic Picks for June 30th on FanDuel
- 1B – Billy Butler
Butler enjoyed his first experience with the abysmal pitching of the Rockies last night. Tonight he a RvsL match up at home. The As are projected to score 4.2 runs and have been victimizing mediocre pitchers a lot recently.
- OF – Marcell Ozuna
Ozuna is a very cheap middle of the order option tonight at home against the up and down Ryan Vogelsong. Vogelsong has been pretty horrible on the road this year.
- OF – Andre Ethier
Ethier continues to put up solid numbers from the back end of the Dodgers line up. He will have a LvsR match up against the young Rubby De La Rosa where the Dodgers are projected to score 4.5 runs. De La Rosa has been much better at home in Chase Field but Ethier has hit all of his home runs against right handers and has owned the Diamondbacks this year.
- OF – Kole Calhoun
Calhoun has been hit or miss this year but that has kept his salary down in spite of being near the top of a line up featuring Mike Trout and Albert Pujols. He gets a LvsR match up against the newly returned Ivan Nova. Calhoun has performed better at home this year and the Angels are projected to score 4.3 runs.
- 1B – Joey Votto
Votto has heavily involved in the action packed game last night. Projected at 4.2 runs tonight the Reds look to continue their power surge against the Twins and Phil Hughes. Votto has tons of speed in front of him making RBIs easier while Hughes has given up more than 1 HR per game this season.
- 1B – Chris Davis
Davis and the Orioles are porjected to score 4.7 runs in Camden Yards tonight, a hitter friendly park. Davis gets a LvsR match up and has been a consistent threat for the long ball. He has hit most of his home runs at home.
- 1B – Adrian Gonzalez
Gonzalez has been crushing righties this year and he gets a young one tonight at Chase Field. LvsR with a 4.5 run projection and Gonzalez’s lower tier price than the top first basemen gives him a lot of upside tonight.
- 3B – Kris Bryant
Everyone knows Bryant is having a break out rookie season. Tonight he gets a RvsL match up against the struggling Jon Niese. Bryant is homering at a much higher rate against left handed pitching and is 6-14 against the Mets in his first season.
Under the Radar Player
- 2B – Johnny Giavotella
Giavotella has been getting plenty of opportunities atop the Angels line up. There is tons of power behind him and he is actually hitting better against right handed pitchers (like tonight’s Ivan Nova). The Angels are projected to score 4.3 runs.View all posts by Donnie Chell
