MLB Daily Fantasy Algorithmic Picks for June 29th on FanDuel
- OF – Steve Pearce
Pearce and the Orioles welcome the Rangers to Baltimore and are projected to score 4.9 runs against them. Pearce is one of many to get a RvsL match up against Wandy Rodriguez who is coming off being shelled for 11 hits and 8 runs in 4 innings against Oakland.
- OF – Andre Ethier
Ethier and the Dodgers enjoy a plus match up against a young righty in Allen Webster. They are projected to score 4.9 runs on the road in hitter friendly Chase Field. Ethier has put together a very solid season despite batting near the bottom of the order. All 9 of his home runs have come against right handers this year.
- 1B – David Ortiz
Ortiz and the Sox visit Toronto and take on R.A. Dickey. This gives Ortiz a LvsR match up in an offensively friendly ball park. Boston is projected at 4.1 runs though Dickey has surrendered 14 runs and 22 hits in 19 innings vs the Sox this season.
- 1B – Ike Davis
Oakland is projected at 4.5 runs over visiting Colorado. Davis has seen more success against right handers this year and gets a poorly performing one in David Hale. Davis has some decent pop from the bottom of the As line up and should see plenty of good pitchers against Hale.
- 1B – Joey Votto
Cincy is projected to score 4.2 runs against the pitch to contact Mike Pelfrey. Votto is, simply put, an elite hitter. He has been moved back to the third spot in the order but still enjoys a LvsR match up. As long as Pelfrey pitches to him he should have a great shot to put up some numbers.
- OF – Yasiel Puig
Puig has plenty of upside batting fourth in a powerful line up against a young pitcher coming off back to back horrible outings. Expect him to get a piece of the 4.9 projected runs at Chase Field.
- OF – Jay Bruce
Bruce gets the same LvsR match up as Votto. He will also be providing some protection from the fifth spot. Bruce has hit more home runs per AB against right handers and Pelfrey should provide him with plenty of pitches to hit.
- OF – Adam Jones
RvsL match up against a struggling pitcher. Jones bats clean up in a line up projected to score in bunches tonight at home.
Under the Radar Player
- SS – J.J. Hardy
Hardy is yet another big right handed bat against Wandy Rodriguez. His batting average leaves something to be desired but he has heated up recently and always has a shot for a long ball.View all posts by Donnie Chell
