MLB Daily Fantasy Algorithmic Picks for July 21th on DraftKings
- 1B/C – Willin Rosario
Rosario’s projection is through the roof tonight. He gets a RvsL match up against a lefty coming off a terrible start who has not pitched well since his back problems started in 2014. The Rockies are projected to score 6 runs in Coors Field tonight and Rosario, batting 5th, is in for a big game.
- OF – Drew Stubbs
It’s rare to see Stubbs on a production list but his match up tonight warrants it. He will also be RvsL in Coors Field and is one of those boom/bust players that win tournaments. He’s only had 11 hits this season but 5 of them have been homers.
- 1B/OF – Marc Krauss
Krauss has somehow found himself in the 5 spot of the Tigers’ order. This along with a LvsR match up make him eligible for a boom or bust min priced guy with multi position eligibility. Tread lightly on Krauss but if you need him to stack Coors go for it.
- OF – Ichiro Suzuki
Ichiro keeps being Ichiro. His price is still very small and he continues to find ways to get on base. his upside is limited but as a punt he’s rarely going to give you a 0. He will be LvsR against a bad pitcher in a hitter friendly park as well.
- SS – Troy Tulowitzki
Tulo vs a lefty in Coors Field. If that’s not enough information then take the 6 run projection for the Rockies add in Tulo’s hot streak and Matt Harrison’s abysmal performance in his first outing in over a year (6 earen in 4 innings against the Diamondbacks.)
- 2B – Rougned Odor
Who is Rougned Odor? Well this young lefty has put up a .321 average with 9 RBI and 2 home runs in the month of July. He seems to have cemented himself in the second spot of the Rangers’ order and gets a LvsR match up in Coors Field. His price is definitely a little steep but he is on a role right now.
- 3B – Nolan Arenado
Like Tulo the match up is amazing for Arenado. He hasn’t homered yet in July which is odd and he’s hit the majority of his dongs on the road. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that discrepancy start to be righted tonight against the hitter friendly Matt Harrison.
- 2B/3B – DJ LeMahieu
DJ is coming off a big game and while his upside may be a bit limited facing a lefty starter he’s about as consistent as they come. LeMahieu should be involved in the monster run projection for this game as he stays in the second spot of the order.
Under the Radar Player
- SS – Alexi Amarista
Alexi Amarista is a bit of a sneaky play at short stop. Most people will be locked onto Tulowitzki at Coors but Amarista seems to like hitting against Chris Heston. The sample size is small but he is 4-8 against Heston this season and generally likes the low and away ball that Heston throws to lefties. He will be LvsR and has been near the top of the Padres order lately.View all posts by Donnie Chell
