MLB Daily Fantasy Algorithmic Picks for August 8th on DraftKings
- OF – Jayson Werth
Werth has a dream match up against the Colorado pitching staff at home in a game where Washington is projected to score 4.5 runs. Eddie Butler has been bad against everyone so don’t worry too much about the RvsR match up.
- 1B – Justin Bour
Ignore Justin Bour as he is inexplicably not in the line up.
- 2B/SS – Jose Ramirez
Ramirez is still leading off for Cleveland and gets a solid match up against a mediocre righty. The Indians are projected to score 4.1 runs and Ramirez brings a stolen base threat to the game especially with Kurt Suzuki catching.
- OF – Matt Kemp
Kemp has a great match up RvsL with a 4.2 run projection at home. He has not lived up to expectations for the Padres which has kept him affordable despite the monster match up. Kemp always has potential to go off but this is about as good a spot to go in on San Diego bats as you can ask for.
- 1B/3B – Carlos Santana
Santana has a solid match up from the clean up spot against a mediocre pitcher. All of his power has been shown from the left side of the plate where he will start tonight. The Indians have a 4.1 run projection.
- OF – Jason Heyward
Heyward has been hot recently and has a very good match up against a pitcher he has crushed in his career. It will be a LvsR with a 4.1 run projection on the road but gets a park bump in Milwaukee. Heyward may have the highest ceiling of any outfielder besides Harper today.
Under the Radar Player
- OF – David Peralta
Peralta is batting clean up for the Dbacks who are projected to score 4.7 runs at home. Peralta has a LvsR match up against a young and inconsistent pitcher. He’s also very affordable, costing $200 less on DK than FanDuel.View all posts by Donnie Chell
