MLB Daily Fantasy Algorithmic Picks for August 7th on DraftKings
- OF – Anthony Gose
Gose leads off for Detroit in a LvsR match up where the Tigers are projected to score 4.7 runs. Gose has been much better against righties
- 1B – Justin Bour
Bour is LvsR against a fairly mediocre pitcher in Julio Teheran. Bour has been better against righties and Teheran is worse against lefties. Miami isn’t a very good offense but they have given Jose Fernandez pretty solid run support this year.
- OF – Ichiro Suzuki
Ichiro is not batting lead off anymore but is still a min priced veteran in a LvsR match up and is batting 6th. He has started off August well.
- 2B/SS – Jose Ramirez
Ramirez is getting an extended shot in the majors with the loss of Kipnis for Cleveland. He homered last night and provides a lot of versatility with multi-position eligibility from the lead off spot. The line has moved to 4.5 runs projected for Cleveland at home against Mike Pelfrey.
- 1B – Victor Martinez
Martinez burst out of his slump last night and even disregarding recency bias his match up tonight is excellent. He’s incredibly cheap given how great a hitter he has been. Martinez is better as a lefty and opposing pitcher Joe Kelly has been getting crushed in every start over the last month and a half. Detroit is projected to score 4.7 runs at home.
- OF – Jacoby Ellsbury
Ellsbury has a lot of success against Dickey and gets a LvsR match up at home in lefty friendly Yankee Stadiium. The Yankees are projected to score 4.8 runs in this one.
- OF – Carlos Beltran
Beltran has had a good string of games and has been better as a left handed batter. He’s had some success against Dickey and shares the same big run projections as Ellsbury with an affordable price tag.
- 1B/2B – Carlos Santana
Santana gets a plus match up against Mike Pelfrey. Cleveland is projected to score 4.5 runs and all of Santana’s power has come from the left side this year.

- 3B/SS – Jose Iglesias
Iglesias has been very effective recently and gets a solid match up against the reverse splitting Joe Kelly. Kelly has been struggling a lot this year and the line reflects this with a 4.6 run projection for Detroit. Iglesias provides decent value and multiple positions in the second spot of the line up.View all posts by Donnie Chell
