MLB Daily Fantasy Algorithmic Picks for August 3rd on DraftKings
- SS – Ketel Marte
How often do you get a min priced lead off hitter in Coors Field? Assuming Marte stays in the line up, the rookie has mega upside in a potentially big offensive output for the Mariners. So far, Marte has only gotten hits as a lefty and Eddie Butler has been awful against everyone. The Mariners are projected to score 5.4 runs in Denver tonight.
- OF – Ichiro Suzuki
Ichiro is min priced at the top of the Marlins order. He is LvsR against the generally ineffective Bartolo Colon. The Marlins could be a sneaky stack tonight against a pitcher who seems to either shut down teams or get mashed.
- OF – Eury Perez
Perez has had a fantastic last week and finds himself min priced and near the top of the Atlanta order. The match up will be RvsR but against Matt Cain who is no longer as effective as he once was. Perez could pair well with Freeman if you decide to target Cain.
- OF – Sam Fuld
Fuld gets a LvsR match up against a pitcher making only his second career start. Fuld had moved to the front of the As’ order recently and those extra at bats make his low price attractive.
- OF – Seth Smith
Smith is some cheaper exposure to this Coors Field game. Smith gets a LvsR match up against his former team and whether or not you buy into revenge he had plenty of success playing in Denver. He’s very affordable and could be in for a big game.
- OF – Carlos Gomez
Gomez is reportedly enjoying his new club in Houston and gets a potentially explosive match up today against Colby Lewis. Houston is projected to score 4.7 runs against one of the most home run prone pitchers in the MLB. Gomez has reverse splits so don’t hesitate to throw him in there against a weak right hander.
- 1B – Adam Lind
Lind is one of the last pieces remaining of the Brewers batting order. He has fallen off heavily since his great early July. He is a good hitter and relatively cheap considering his LvsR match up against a pitcher who has been very inconsistent with his control all year.
- 3B – Kyle Seager
Facing Eddie Butler in Coors Field is about as good a match as you can get for Kyle Seager. The Mariners’ offense has come alive of late and Seager is still needing to get involved. The Mariners are projected to score 5.4 runs as they visit Colorado and the awful pitching staff of the Rockies

- 3B – Evan Longoria
Longoria has been hitting well lately and gets a RvsL match up against Jose Quintana. Longoria has been much better against lefties and Quintana has been much worse against righties. His price is a bit high for someone like Longoria which should make him very low owned.View all posts by Donnie Chell
