MLB Daily Fantasy Algorithmic Picks for August 15th on DraftKings
- OF – Abraham Almonte
Almonte has hits in every game since joining the Indians a week ago. His hot streak has a good chance of continuing facing Tyler Duffey who only last two innings in his first major league start two weeks ago. The Indians are projected to score 4.3 runs on the road in Minnesota. Almonte is min price despite hitting .345 over the last week with two homers.
- 1B – Shane Peterson
Shane Peterson provides cheap exposure to the potentially high scoring Milwaukee line up. He is leading off and only 2.3K tonight with a LvsR match up against a bad pitcher. The Brewers are projected to score 4.3 runs at home.
- OF/SS – Enrique Hernandez
Hernandez gets a plus RvsL match up against David Holmberg at home. The Dodgers are projected to score 4.7 runs and Hernandez is tearing it up in August. He’s been a monster against left handed pitching in a relatively small sample but at only 2.5K there’s not much to dislike here.
- OF – Scott Van Slyke
Van Slyke is not in the line up tonight. Do not use him
- 1B – Joe Mauer
Mauer has a LvsR match up in a game that looks like it might be a total fiasco at pitcher. Mauer has good numbers in a small sample against Josh Tomlin and has been generally hot since the All Star break. The Twins are projected to score 4.6 runs at home.
- 1B – Adam Lind
Lind has fallen off a bit since his tear in early July. The match up tonight is excellent however, facing Jerome Williams at home. Lind will be LvsR and the Brewers have a solid 4.3 run projection.
- 1B/2B – Yangervis Solarte
Solarte is leading off tonight for the Padres in Coors Field. He’s been significantly better from the left side of the plate and the Padres have a 5.1 run projection. Solarte has thrived on the road this year.
- OF – Aaron Hicks
Hicks is batting lead off in a game where the Twins are projected to score 4.7 runs at home. Facing a pitcher making his first start of the year and Hicks has been pretty hot recently.

- 2B – Chase Utley
Utley is just way too cheap with a park bump in Milwaukee tonight. He has hits in every game since returning from the DL and has a LvsR match up against a pitcher with pretty massive splits versus lefties. Utley is leading off and is the only second baseman in the value low price tier.View all posts by Donnie Chell
