FanDuel

FanDuel is the biggest daily fantasy sports website in the world. It has bigger daily tournaments and prizepools than you will find anywhere else and is the website you want to play on if you take fantasy sports seriously.

Sports Offered: MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, CFB, CBB

Game Types: There are several types of contests to buy into – large field tournaments, head-to-head, 50/50, triple-up, freeroll, step tournaments and more. There are always an ample amount of tournaments to participate in on Fanduel, including multi-entry events, which allow you to enter the same tournament multiple times. For high stakes players, entry fees can be as much as $5,200 in the head-to-head formats. There are also beginner formats, which gives you more salary to use, making it easier to create the lineup you desire.

Points: FanDuel has a very simple scoring system for all sports. Unlike many sites that award bonuses for milestones or big plays like 50+ yard catches in football or a triple-double in basketball, FanDuel only scores players on their raw stats alone. This makes it easy to develop strategies to win, without having to worry about other players taking advantage of complex scoring systems.

Player Salaries: On FanDuel, your team has a $60,000 salary cap and they require you to play the following positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 D/ST. FanDuel does a good job updating player salaries but their pricing algorithm is not aggressive, leaving very clear value plays most nights. They also don’t have utility/flex players for any sport nor do players have multiple positions. FanDuel likes to keep things simple.

Website Layout: The website is fast, easy to use, and provides the user with great tools to make setting lineups easy. You can enter tournaments with one click and it’s easy to find the tournaments you want.

Promotions: FanDuel runs some of the biggest fantasy tournaments you will find anywhere. Several have prizepools of over $1,000,000 and some even award over $1,000,000 for 1st. Every Sunday, Fanduel runs the Sunday Million, a $25 tournament with a prizepool of $1,000,000. If you want to pay more for a better shot at a massive 1st prize, the Sunday NFL Monster has a 1.2 million dollar prize pool and is $200 to enter. Or if you just want to risk a few dollars, the $2 Sunday Snap awards $5,000 for 1st.

Bonus: FanDuel offers a deposit bonus of 100% up to $200, on par with many other daily fantasy sports betting websites.

Deposit/Withdrawal: Major credit cards and PayPal are accepted for deposit. Withdrawal works through PayPal or receiving a check. Withdrawals are received in a timely fashion and are processed on business days.

Rake: The rake is what you would expect – 10 percent for most contests. However, it does decrease with the higher-entry events.

Mobile: FanDuel has a great, easy to use mobile app that can be downloaded in the app-store on the Iphone.
