Daily Fantasy NBA 2/25: Notes on Every Game
MIA @ ORL
MIA – Chris Bosh still out for season. Udonis Haslem has been averaging 23.5 mpg past 3, but not great production. Hassan Whiteside playing only 26 mpg, but producing very well. Not sure why his minutes have been low, but it’s a good matchup vs orlando.
ORL – Healthy. Victor Oladipo and Nic Vucevic have had a high usg% and mpg last 3. NBA Vegas Proj has MIA and ORL at a much faster pace than their season averages, so expect this to be a good game fantasy wise for both teams.
DAL @ ATL
DAL – Parsons still out. Jefferson and Aminu seem to be splitting time. Tyson Chandler GTD with hip injury, but claims he will play (as of last night).
ATL – Jeff Teague missed practice yesterday with an illness. If he’s out, Dennis Schroder becomes a ridiculously good play.
NYK @ BOS
NYK – Lance Thomas Out. Expect Tim Hardaway Jr. to get a lot of minutes, and he’s been getting some peripheral stats as of late. Langston Galloway should get better minutes as well. Boston is a huge favorite, but I think Galloway is the likeliest candidate for garbage minutes. Andrea Bargnani is also back, getting 23 mpg, and doing quite well. If he becomes the starter, his production should be very good.
BOS – Kelly Olynyk still out. Gotta love Tyler Zeller and Bass in this great matchup. Isaiah Thomas has been playing 26 mpg in his 2 games with the Celtics and is crushing. Celtics favored by 12, so I think he’s actually a viable gpp option.
CHA @ CHI
CHA – Walker and Biyombo still out.
CHI – Derrick Rose is out for the year. Kirk Hinrich should be back. With Rose out earlier in the year, Jimmy Butler was exceptional so expect him to play well once again. Expect Pau Gasol’s USG% to jump as well.
LAC @ HOU
LAC – Griffin out for a while. Paul and DeAndre Jordan have been killing it in his absence. Patrick Beverley may be out, if he is, you have to like Paul here.
HOU – Pat Beverley questionable. T. Jones is back as the starter, played 32 minutes last game. It’s an ok matchup and his price is way too low on FD especially.
PHI @ MIL
PHI – Tim Frazier is now gone, But the 76ers did add Ish Smith so they have something behind Canaan at PG. Canaan is still min on FD and may see a minutes bump, seems like a reasonable play. Nerlens Noel has been playing very well lately.
MIL – MCW probable. It’s a revenge game, but it’s hard to like a PG playing in his first game with a new team. I’d avoid him, even on DK where he’s $7,500. I’m actually debating avoiding everyone on MIL aside from Anteotkuompo on FD who’s only $6,400.
WSH @ MIN
WSH – Beal still out. No one gets consistent enough mintues here aside from Wall, but it is a fantastic matchup for Wall. Definitely a GPP play.
MIN – KG will start. Bennett out. Gary Neal Doubtful. Every starter aside from PF should see great minutes. Rubio is only $6,900 on FD. Sportsbooks love Minnesota’s offense in this game, projecting them at 7 points above their simple projection.
BKN @ NOP
BKN – Jarrett Jack will play, but limited off the bench.
NOP – Tyreke Evans will likely play, but is not 100% coming back from and illness. Eric Gordons minutes will be sky high. Asik is starting and Alexis Ajinca is coming off the bench, but Ajinca is probably better suited for that role anyway. Ajinca is only $4,300 on FD which is way too low. Asik is only $4,800.
PHX @ DEN
PHX – Brandon Knight is now starting, had 20/1/4 in his first start. His price on DK is a bargain at $6,200, and he’s a reasonable gpp play vs DEN. Bledsoe has been getting more minutes without Thomas and Dragic, both his FD and DK price are solid. Alex Len’s price is still way too low on both sites, but he should be extremely highly used.
DEN – Wilson Chandler doubtful, Kenneth Faried questionable. Danilo Gallinari should see a mintues bump. Bizarrely, JJ Hickson played 2 mionutes last game, may be in the dog house. Darrell Arthur should see solid minutes. Nuggets are only +6, so don’t expect a blowout here.
LAL @ UTA
LAL – Nick Young out, Sacre GTD. Ronnie Price out. Jordan Clarkson should see a lot more minutes in this game, and he’s reasonable on both DK and FD.
UTA – Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert seem to have a great matchup here. Both are well priced.
MEM @ SAC
MEM – Seems like a great spot for Zach Randolph to get out of his shooting slump, the Kings D is horrible and Randolph should have a great rebounding game since Marc Gasol will be focused on Cousins.
SAC – Darren Collison out. Ray McCallum should start, but it’s a poor matchup and there’s a ton of PG options. But, he’s min on both sites.
SAS @ POR
SAS – Full Strength.
POR – Full Strength.
