3 RBs I Love in Daily Fantasy Football Week 5
It’s Saturday, which means a big day for daily fantasy players creating and finalizing their lineups hoping for a big day on Sunday. RBs are the staple of any good fantasy lineup and can make or break your team. While there aren’t that many RBs with good matchups this week, there are a few I really love. Here they are (in no particular order).
Demarco Murray ($9,000 on FanDuel, $7,500 on DraftKings)
Does Demarco Murray have a great matchup? No. Does it matter? No. Murray is in the midst of a break-out season and almost certainly (barring injury) will lead the league in rushing yards by seasons end. Being favorites at home, the Cowboys will continue to commit to the run with Murray and he should once again have a big day. And remember, this is the same Houston team that was gashed in week 3 by Rashad Jennings. Murray has 100x the talent of Jennings and should have just as easy of a time.
Reggie Bush ($7,000 on FanDuel, $6,200 on DraftKings)
Joique Bell and Theo Riddick have been ruled out, and now there are whispers that Calvin Johnson may sit out this game for the sake of his long-term health. Stafford will have few options aside from Golden Tate and Bush. It seems almost a given that Bush gets 5+ receptions and 15+ carries, and those numbers likely will be much higher. At only $7,000 on FanDuel, he’s a ridiculous bargain and an incredibly safe play.
Rashad Jennings ($7,200 on Fanduel, $5,500 on DraftKings)
Danny wrote an article this week on how epicly terrible the Atlanta Falcons defense has been this season. They are especially bad against the run, getting destroyed last week by the Vikings mediocre run game. Jennings “shared” carries with Andre Williams last week, but most of Williams’ carries came in garbage time. I expect Jennings to get most of the workload and absolutely dominate the Falcons. His upside is massive.
RBs I Hate
C.J. Spiller ($7,600 on FanDuel)
Some fantasy players like playing Spiller in GPPs because can break off a big run at anytime. But I hate Spiller this week. He’s really the #2 back behind Fred Jackson and the Lions D is underrated, I think they’re one of the top defenses in the league. It would just be ridiculous to spend this much on Spiller when there are much better options at the same price point.View all posts by Max J Steinberg
