Wednesday NBA Picks on Draftstreet
Draftstreet updates their salaries very aggressively, so it’s important to find those value picks where you can since they are so few and far between. There’s a few tonight that I really like:
Andrew Bynum $10,398
Bynum hasn’t had a great season, but in his last game against a stingy Chicago D he ended up with a line of 20/10/3/5, an elite line for a center. We know Bynum is a player capable of putting up some big numbers when healthy, and I don’t see why Cleveland won’t give him heavy minutes against Denver who ranks close to last in fantasy points given up to big men. This is probably my favorite play on Draftstreet tonight.
Tim Duncan $14,575
The Spurs go up against Minnesota tonight, which should be a close game. This is huge for Duncan who’s team has been blowing out everyone, bringing down Duncan’s minutes significantly. I expect him to get big minutes against an uptempo team that allows plenty of fantasy points to big men. It doesn’t hurt that good ol Timmy has been on a tear lately, averaging over 40 fantasy points a game in his last 3.
Eric Gordon $10,999
Gordon has a great matchup tonight against Dallas who a) are an uptempo team and b) have a terrible defender at SG named Monta Ellis. Gordon should do well in the scoring department, and I expect his rebound numbers to go up with Anthony Davis out since the Pelicans now have absolutely no rebounding big men. He’s significantly cheaper than Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans and I expect him to perform at a similar level to both.
Andre Drummond $16,741
My fantasy mantra this year has been “Start big men vs Milwaukee.” They are absolutely terrible against big men, especially really big athletic ones like Drummond. My issue this game could be a blowout. That being said, if it isn’t look for Drummond to have a massive game. I think this play is only for GPPs and not H2H.
J.J. Hickson $11,495
Denver’s bigs have been frustrating to figure out. It’s been a fantasy whack-a-mole with Hickson, Mozgov, and Faried all trading off having good nights. The last 2 games we’ve seen Mozgov posting big numbers but I’d rather just stay away from all of them. Hickson should be motivated against his former team but that doesn’t convince me to play him tonight.
