NFL Week 10 Under the Radar Daily Fantasy Plays at Each Position
Miss out on some sneaky good plays in NFL daily fantasy yesterday? No problem. Week 10 will have more. Let’s find out who some of them are.
(All prices via FanDuel)
Mike Glennon $6,800 – It’s amazing that after the Falcons plastered the Buccaneers 56-14 on Thursday Night Football in Week 3, this game has a spread of PK. Glennon hasn’t had any monster games, but he’s had several just under 20 FPTS and has performed well against the weaker defenses. The Falcons certainly fit that category, the younger Buccs WRs keep getting better and Glennon is still incredibly cheap. He has a 20-plus FPTS outing coming.
LeSean McCoy $7,700 – Okay, this may not exactly be an under-the-radar play, but it is considering how McCoy’s season is going. McCoy only has 1 TD on the season, but there are several things going for him: 1. The Eagles offensive line is much improved since the beginning of the year. 2. The Panthers rush defense is awful. 3. McCoy has had some bad luck recently when it comes to TDs, meaning stopped just short or having a TD run called back. This will get better. 4. The Eagles are at home and -5.5. 5. The $7,700 salary is relatively cheap under all those considerations and that he’s had over 20 carries in each of the last four games. The quarterback situation doesn’t factor into this much to me positively or negatively.
Eric Decker $6,400 – The Steelers are hot, and the Jets are not. Except, the Steelers pass defense is still struggling without Ike Taylor on the left side of the defense. Decker is heating up now that his hamstring has healed with 16 catches in his last two weeks. Decker also has four TDs on the year and with Vick at QB now, the chances for Decker to bring in a bomb are increased. Also, amazingly, Decker has had no duds this season outside of the Bears game when he suffered the hamstring injury, so his ceiling actually isn’t that bad.
Delanie Walker $5,800 – A lot of people have forgotten about Walker with the Titans on bye and the team struggling. But the Titans have finally settled on Zach Mettenberger at QB, and he will have two weeks of practice. The Titans are 10-point underdogs, but TEs correlate positively to opposing defenses (yes this is true). Walker is also targeted the fourth-most times in the red zone for TEs in the NFL.
Chandler Catanzaro $4,700 – The Cardinals are seven-point favorites at home, and that means there are no weather concerns. There are some decent options who are cheaper, and there are some great choices who are the most expensive. But with Catanzaro in the price range in between and all signs pointing toward him doing well, he won’t be used much.
New Orleans Saints $4,600 – The Saints DST have all of a sudden posted 12 and 10 FPTS the last two weeks. How? They have racked up four sacks in each of the last two weeks. Colin Karpernick was sacked a ridiculous eight times against the Rams. The 49ers offensive line has been terrible since they lost their center Daniel Kilgore against the Broncos. With the Saints pass rush trending upward, the 49ers’ trending downward, the game in New Orleans (can be very loud in the Superdome, especially for a rookie center) and the Saints -3.5, there’s a lot of upside for this play.
