NFL Daily Fantasy Week 17: Picks that Seem Obvious but You Should Avoid

Aaron Rodgers – The best QB in the NFL playing for a divisional title at home seems correct, right? Well, the Lions pass D has been fantastic this season, and Rodgers has been playing somewhat hurt the last couple weeks, which is why his recent struggles are there. I’m sure Rodgers will have a fine day and get the W, but 20+ FPTS may not happen.

DeMarco Murray – A 6.5-point favorite at home against the Redskins, but there are a few things going against Murray. The Cowboys could easily limit his workload considering his health and that the Cowboys likely won’t get a first-round bye. The Redskins rush defense is actually one of the stronger units in the league with a much weaker pass D.

Sammy Watkins – His price has come down,  but the Patriots DST should still be incredibly strong at home. He’ll likely be double teamed or at least covered by Darrelle Revis.

Rob Gronkowski – It’s nice to see Gronk play this season healthy for the most part. But if anyone is going to get a breather besides Brady this weekend, it’s him. I wouldn’t risk that salary in a game where he might only play a quarter or a half.
