NFL Daily Fantasy Week 16: Best High Salary Plays at Each Position on FanDuel
We’ve given you the under the radar plays for the week, most of which are value plays. This time around, let’s look at the best plays that are on the expensive end. All of these picks are in the top 10 in terms of salary at their respective position. There will be slight consideration to usage percentage, but this is mostly based on matchup and FPTS expectation.
QB – Aaron Rodgers $10,000 – Do you really think Rodgers is going to have an outing like that again? The line movement last week was a big indicator that the Bills were a good pick (opened at GB -6.5 and finished at GB -3.5). Green Bay draws one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL, and Green Bay is in a tight race with the Detroit Lions for first in the NFC North. Rodgers, like all great quarterbacks, come back firing on all cylinders after a loss, especially late in the season. Plus, Green Bay will enjoy the good weather in Tampa Bay.
RB – C.J. Anderson $7,800 – The Broncos have been a running machine as of late. Anderson has taken it on the ground 109 times in the last four games to go with his eight catches. Despite a strong showing against the Browns last week, the Bengals’ rush defense has been awful for most of the year, and quite frankly, no one showed up to play for Cleveland last week (not to mention the Browns suffered countless injuries that game). Anderson should have no difficulty going over 100 yards and finding the end zone a couple times.
WR – Jeremy Maclin $8,000 – The Eagles are in desperation mode after losing on Sunday Night Football to the Dallas Cowboys. This is undoubtedly a must win. Luckily for Philadelphia, they draw the struggling Washington Redskins, a team that has arguably the worst secondary in the NFL. In the previous matchup, Maclin caught eight balls for 154 yards and a TD. Maclin’s TDs are down slightly in the last month, but that’s due to two plays of him getting stopped just short of the goal line and tougher matchups in general. His targets and snap counts are still sky high.
TE – Jimmy Graham $7,100 – Jimmy Graham looks healthy again, which is a great sign for Drew Brees and the Saints as they try to win the NFC South. Anytime the Saints and the Atlanta Falcons get together, it’s a shootout, and this week should be no exception. Expect a huge game from Jimmy.
K – Stephen Gostkowski $5,500 – A 10-point favorite for probably the best kicker in the NFL. Unless a snowstorm hits, this is a no-brainer.
DST – St. Louis Rams $5,300 – The Rams’ defense is healthy and on fire. This is the Giants with Eli Manning. The Rams also have a huge special teams edge, and the game is in St. Louis. The upside here is off the charts for the Rams.View all posts by Nick Juskewycz
