NBA Fantasy Plays: Absurd Value 3/20
Tonight’s NBA games are like shopping at Costco, there’s great value everywhere you look. Leaving out any of these players could cost you big time, so make sure you have several of these plays in your lineups tonight.
All salaries are taken from DraftKings
Jarrett Jack ($4,700) and Dion Waiters ($5,400)
Not only is Kyrie Irving out for the Cavs, so are Sergey Karasev and C.J. miles meaning Waiters and Jack are the only guards except for Matt Delladova playing for the Cavs tonight. These two will get huge minutes even in a blowout so the chance they both hit value tonight is very high. If I had to choose just one, I’d go with Waiters but I’ll have both in my lineups tonight.
Terrence Jones ($4,800) and Omer Asik ($3,500)
Dwight Howard is out which means these two will be picking up the slack down low. Their salaries are absolutely a steal tonight in a surely high scoring affair against Minnesota, a team who struggles mightily against big men. Passing either of these guys up would be a huge mistake. Donatas Motiejunas should also get 25-30 minutes tonight and at min salary is a good play here. I honestly don’t mind playing all 3.
Reggie Jackson ($4,900)
Russell Westbrook could sit tonight against a decimated Cavs team on the first game of a back-to-back, which means Jackson could start in a great matchup. His salary seems way too low for a situation like this, check Westbrook’s status before the 7pm tip-off and if he’s out fire up Jackson.
Gorgui Dieng ($3,100)
Minnesota surprisngly started Dieng over Cunningham a couple of games ago when Pekovic was a late scratch and he’s been taking advantage big time, scoring 30 and 40 fantasy points in his last 2 games. Pek may be back tonight, and if he is I’d get Dieng out of your lineups. But if Pek is out, Dieng makes an awesome start at min salary.
Draymond Green ($4,400)
Andre Iguodala is out a few weeks and although Harrison Barnes is starting I really like Green tonight. Andrew Bogut could be outm which means Green would start, but even if he doesn’t he’s a player who racks up every stat, unlike Barnes who is really only good for point and boards. The Warriors don’t mind going to their bench for extend periods so I fully expect Green to get 25+ minutes coming of the bench which is plenty of time for him to go for 30+ fantasy points.
Good luck tonight!View all posts by Max J Steinberg
