NBA Daily Fantasy 2/7: Top Cheap Plays at Each Position
It’ll be pretty easy to go with a high-low strategy in tonight’s NBA contests, so we are going to provide you with the best cheap options at each position to increase your lineup flexibility. The players’ positions and salaries are according to FanDuel.
PG – Ramon Sessions $3,500 – With Darren Collison out, Ramon Sessions should be taking over the starting PG duties this evening. In the three games Collison missed earlier this season, Sessions got the start each time and played 34.3 minutes. The Kings are underdogs tonight, but they draw a favorable matchup in terms of FPTS allowed by PGs against the Utah Jazz and Sessions is obviously underpriced for tonight.
SG – Ben McLemore $4,200 – The truth is there aren’t any great cheap options at SG, and Rasual Butler (could be starting for Bradley Beal) is listed at SF on FanDuel. So, we go with McLemore. He’s always good for 30-plus minutes and has the ability to go off shooting the ball.
SF – Lance Thomas $3,600 – Carmelo Anthony is resting it being the second of a back-to-back. If he sits, Lance Thomas is likely to start and get a huge bump. Despite being a huge underdog to the Warriors, Thomas could easily still get 40 minutes. In the last game Melo missed, Thomas played 41 minutes, racked up 29.1 FPTS (5 turnovers) and the Knicks only scored 71 points.
PF – Marvin Williams $4,100 – He’s healthy now. Despite coming off the bench last game, his 25 minutes were the most of all the PFs. Even if he does come off the bench, his production is completely acceptabale for 25 minutes, and the 76ers are as good as it gets for a matchup.
C – Andrew Bogut $5,300 – I know Bogut isn’t necessarily cheap, but there just aren’t any great really cheap center plays tonight. So, call this an under-the-radar play. The Knicks are one of the best matchups for big men, and Bogut can go off in terms of his efficiency with points, rebounds and blocks. He’s a sneaky GPP play.View all posts by Nick Juskewycz
