Mid-Tier Plays Tonight That I Love 1/15
It’s Big Wednesday in NBA which means there are a ton of games and a ton of money up for grabs. There are so many players and games to choose from tonight, and you’ll need a few players that you know will stand out without using too much salary. Here are some guys I love.
Miles Plumlee – Plumlee is going up against the Lakers, the most notoriously terrible team at guarding bigs. Plumlee has a very high correlation to DvP against Cs and last time he played the Lakers he had 17 points while grabbing 20 boards. He’s an easy pick tonight since he’s cheap on all sites, he’s only $5300 on DraftKings and $5600 on Fanduel. Have this guy in your lineups.
Nene – Nene has been coming off the bench recently but last night he was inserted into the starting lineup vs Chicago and performed very well, filling up the stat sheet with a 19/5/5/2/2 line. As a Wizards fan, I’ve watched a lot of nene and his biggest issue is when he gets out-muscled inside. Miami is woefully weak in the post and I expect Nene to take advantage. I think he gets off to a quick start and keeps Trevor Booker on the bench. Remember, before Nene was out, Booker was filling up the stat line with DNPs. He’s been nice over the past few weeks but I think Bookers time is over. On DraftKings he’s only $5500 and he’s $5800 on Fanduel. That’s an absolute steal.
Andre Iguodala – When I saw the DEN v GSW matchup tonight, I was drooling. This game is going to be played at an absolutely ridiculous pace and I wouldn’t be surprised to see GSW score 120 points tonight. Iggy can be a frustrating player because he can totally disappear in GSWs offense but I don’t think this will happen for a couple of reasons. 1) Iguodala has a nice correlations with pace, DVP v SF, and rebounding, and Denver is a fast paced team that struggles in the latter two categories, struggling especially hard on defense as of late. 2) He’s facing his former team which I think will motivate him to want the ball and want to score. He’s also cheap, $5600 on Fanduel and $6300 on DraftKings. He’s another player I’ll have in almost all my lineups.
Chandler Parsons – Parsons is only $6000 DraftKings which is the main reason I mention him here. Nothing really stands out in this matchup, Parsons isn’t really correlated to any one stat and the Pelicans are a middle of the pack fantasy D. However, for a player who avgs 32.5 fantasy points a game, his salary is way too low. DraftKings salary algorithm seems to screw up pretty badly when there’s an injury and I’m taking advantage of it here with Parsons.
Supplement your lineup with these players and it will help you make that winning lineup. Good luck tonight.
