DraftKings NBA Great Value Dec 11th
Beno Udrih $3,000 – Raymond Felton injured his hamstring again Tuesday night and is unlikely to play against the Bulls tonight. Udrih should get the start since he did a solid job replacing Felton in late November. He scored 35.5 FPTS against the Pacers and 29.75 versus the Trail Blazers. Despite the Bulls being one of the better defensive teams, they are 29th in three-pointers allowed and they aren’t the same without Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. There’s also still a chance that Luol Deng and Joakim Noah sit out as well. Udrih is minimum salary and there’s no reason to pass up a great value play like this.
Mike Dunleavy $4,000 – Normally I would say a pick like this is one you should stay away from, but Dunleavy is only $4,000 and has recently produced in the starting lineup and off the bench. Dunleavy has scored at least 32 FPTS in three of the last four games. Derrick Rose is out and Jimmy Butler, Luol Deng and Joakim Noah all missed last night’s game with injuries. While we don’t know who all will be playing tonight, Dunleavy should still be worth a lot more than his $4,000 salary from the way he’s been playing regardless of the Bulls’ lineup. However, if Luol Deng is out, he’s a must start.
Harrison Barnes $5,000 – I have no idea why Harrison Barnes’ salary has dropped to $5,000. Andre Iguodala is still out. The Warriors are playing a Mavericks team that runs the ninth most possessions per game, are 27th in scoring defense and 27th in rebounding percentage. Barnes has scored over 30 FPTS in three of the last four games. Barnes only had 15.5 FPTS at Dallas a couple weeks ago, but I wouldn’t look too much into that. He played 41 minutes and just had an off night shooting.
Josh McRoberts $4,600 – The Magic are seventh in possessions per game and rank near the bottom in every defensive statistical category. That includes rebounding. Despite Al Jefferson being in the lineup full time, McRoberts has recorded between 28.5 and 38 FPTS the last three games. Even though McRoberts hasn’t had a monster game, he’s contributing in points, rebounds, assists and steals.
Kosta Koufos $5,400 – By now we all know Kosta Koufos is capable of a double-double on a regular basis, regardless if Zach Randolph is in the starting five. Koufos has scored over 30 FPTS in six of the last seven games and is averaging 2.1 blocks over the same time period. DraftKings dropped Koufos’ salary from $6,000 to $4,800 two games ago and it’s now back up to $5,400. Koufos’ salary should be no less than $6,000 based on his consistency.
