DraftKings Daily NBA Picks: Mon Dec 2nd

3 picks for tonights NBA games on DraftKings + my daily stock watch column. Good luck with your lineups tonight.

Point Guard

Trey Burke $5500

Burke has everything we’re looking for in a value play tonight. He’s an emerging young player, a great match up with Houston who gives up the 4th most fantasy points, and he’s under the radar. Burke’s only played in 6 games in his career but the trend line is positive, 27.25 FPPG over his last 3, with 37.5 in his last game against Phoenix. The game is at Utah which limits the chance of a blow out. Burke gets points rebounds and assists and shoots a ton. Really good value at 5500 for a player who really should be in the 7k range even without a good matchup.

Ryan Anderson $6600
Average matchup against Chicago. However, with Anthony Davis now out with a hand injury someone is going to have to step up and take Davis’ shots and grab his rebounds. Anderson is certainly a candidate. He’s priced really low because he’s only recently come back from an injury, but the injury is not a concern now. He’s a young player at 25 who shoots a lot of 3’s, and he should be matched up against Carlos Boozer who is a god awful defender. Really like Anderson tonight and moving forward.

Nene Hilario $6400

He has an achilles injury which is a concern, but he is going to play tonight, and Saturday against the Hawks he still got 36 minutes despite his injury. Orlando is a sneaky good matchup, they are actually 6th in fantasy points given up per game. They’ve also had a lot of trouble against PF. There’s been a big adjustment since Beal went out with another player besides John Wall needing to create shots. In the time Beal’s been out Nene has hit the 46 and 43 point mark. Gortat is also a play to consider but Nene is a bit cheaper and given Orlando has such bad marks against PF’s I think Nene is the play tonight.

Stock Watch

Stock Up

Victor Oladipo
$6,200 – Since becoming the starting shooting guard, Oladipo is averaging 34.3 minutes and has scored 30-plus points in five of his six contests. He contributes in all statistical categories. During this six-game stretch, he’s putting up 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.3 blocks. Having someone that contributes in five statistical categories is huge, especially for someone with that low of a salary. The Wizards are still banged up and Oladipo puts a lot of pressure on both ends of the floor.

Stock Down

Carlos Boozer $6,400 – With Derrick Rose sidelined for the year, the offense has to come from somewhere. Considering that Boozer is scoring 15.7 points and pulling down a team-high 8.9 rebounds, playing Boozer consistently seems like a good idea. However, not only do the Bulls average a 27th-best 92.3 points per game, they are 26th in offensive efficiency and 26th in possessions per game. Furthermore, after getting a couple games under their belts without Rose, all five Chicago starters have attempted at least nine field goals in each of the last two games. Granted the Bulls are going up against the Pelicans tonight without Anthony Davis, but until Boozer becomes more involved in the offense without Rose, there’s no reason to upgrade him.
