3 Targets for Thursday-Sun NFL on Draftstreet
Since Week 15’s Thursday Night game is actually a quality game, you may see more daily fantasy players flocking to the Thursday-Sunday tournaments. It’s going to be important to get in a few lineups tonight so you can get in your fatasy fix and also make some money. With that said, here are 3 players I absolutely love on Draftstreet tonight.
Golden Tate $7,051
This is one of my favorite plays this week and it’s because of the matchup. NYG has been solid against the run all year, only allowing under 80 yards per game to opposing running backs. Even though New York hasn’t given up a ton of fantasy points in the air, they’ve had an absolutely cake schedule and when they’ve played good offenses they have gotten crushed. Percy Harvin doesn’t look like he’ll be coming back this year which makes Tate the go-to option for Russell Wilson. I think Tate will have a lot of oppourtunities to score in this game after Eli Manning inevitably turns it over a few times and is a great place at this price. I also wouldn’t mind using Doug Baldwin who is similar in price and has been more consistent.
Demaryius Thomas $13,098
I love that Eric Decker has been lighting it up the last few games because it has brought Thomas’ salary so far down. Decker is a solid player but Demaryius is the #1 option on Denver and has been remarkably consistent all year. San Diego is one of the worst 5 teams in giving up fantasy points to WRs and according to PFF their cornerbacks are flat-out bad. Obviously, you want to pick players on Denver in this game with Peyton Manning throwing like an absolute maniac so why not choose his #1 target. At this price, Thomas is a must start.
Harry Douglas $8,562
Draftstreet salaries are incredibly reactionary and Douglas’ is no exception. After posting a 3 point fantasy game last week many fantasy players think the ship has sailed with Douglas, but I don’t. First of all, he’s matched up with the Redskins D. The Redskins have possibly the worst defense in the league and their best corner will be on Roddy White. Douglas will be matched up on Josh Wilson or David Amerson who can be burned hard. Furthermore, Douglas has been great every since Julio Jones went down, here are his previous 7 weeks prior to his game against Green Bay:
10/20 TB W 31-23 7 149 21.3 1 0 0 0.0 0 24.4
10/27 @ARI L 13-27 12 121 10.1 0 0 0 0.0 0 18.1
11/03 @CAR L 10-34 3 82 27.3 0 0 0 0.0 0 9.7
11/10 SEA L 10-33 7 49 7.0 0 0 0 0.0 0 8.4
11/17 @TB L 28-41 6 134 22.3 1 0 0 0.0 0 21.4
11/21 NO L 13-17 9 79 8.8 0 0 0 0.0 0 12.4
12/01 @BUF W 34-31 6 73 12.2 0 0 0 0.0 0 9.3
These numbers are amazing and considering he faced Caronlina, Arizona, Seattle, and New Orleans during this stretch he’s been outstanding. Against Tampa Bay, which is a bad D but not even close to as bad as Washington, he put up 20+ fantasy points twice. I expect similar stats against Washington.View all posts by Max J Steinberg
